Meet Karin and Thomas
Hej and welcome to The Outpost!
We’re Thomas and Karin, we are born and raised not far from Mårdsel, where the forest meets the Råne River. This has always been our home, and we’re so happy to share a little piece of it with you.
For us, life up here is about simple joys, a good meal after a day in the snow, the sound of the fire crackling, and stepping outside to see the northern lights dancing across the sky. We love helping our guests experience that same feeling, whether it’s showing you our favourite trails, teaching you how to use snowmobile, or just sharing stories over coffee at the kitchen table.
We’ll be around throughout your stay to cook, guide, and make sure you’re comfortablem just like family. Come as guests, leave as friends. That’s what The Outpost is all about.

Love letters from our clients

We had the most amazing time with Thomas and Karin in The Outpost.....a truly different holiday experience not to miss. Felt like a nice family vist !!! Don't miss the jacuzzi under the stars and the snowmobile tour with picnic by the river. We can't wait to go back !!! Thank you for everything !!!!
This place deserve a 5. The Outpost experience is very unique and it should be combined with the Aurora Safari Camp! We went to this place during our anniversary trip, and never felt that we are paying guests. Andrew, Kerry, Michael, and Breta made us feel as if we were old friends and reunited. The conversation, the food, and hospitality was phenomenal. We got to know more about the Swedish hospitality and culture. Definitely worth the trip!

Going around Scandinavia. Should have just gone here for most of it. Service was great, have your own place with a higher quality non touristy experience on all the typical activities. Peaceful and gorgeous.
